Australian Customs and Quarantine Information
Customs
The Australian Customs Service manages the security and integrity of Australia's borders. Please refer to its website for further information, including about duty-free concessions for visitors to Australia.
Quarantine
The Australian Quarantine and Inspection Service (AQIS) manages quarantine controls at Australia's borders to minimise the risk of exotic pests and diseases entering the country. On arrival in Australia, visitors must declare all food, plant material and animal products for inspection to ensure they are free of pests and diseases. Please check before you travel about which items cannot be brought into Australia. Detailed and up-to-date information is available on the AQIS website.
