Mr Magee expressing profound condolences for the victims of Kaohsiung explosions

The Representative of the Australian Office, Mr Kevin Magee, has sent letters to President Ma Ying-Jeou and Kaohsiung Mayor Chen Chu expressing profound condolences, on behalf of the people of Australia, to the family and loved ones of those who lost their lives in the recent deadly Kaohsiung explosions.

“We are deeply saddened by the loss of life, by the injuries and by the damage caused by the terrible explosions that took place in Kaohsiung last week. Our thoughts are with all those affected by these tragedies and we wish speedy recovery to all those injured. It is my earnests hope also that the people of Kaohsiung will overcome the difficulties they face and return to normalcy as soon as possible. It is all the worse that this tragedy should come so soon after the plane crash in Penghu which so affected the people of Taiwan. We wish them comfort in this time of sadness.” Mr Magee said.
