愛心募集 送溫暖到關愛之家

澳大利亞商工辦事處 華適文代表講稿

很高興今天能來到這裡，表達我們對關愛之家的支持，並且將耶誕節的精神帶給這裡的每一位小朋友們。

對抗歧視是一場戰役，不管是對抗因種族、膚色、宗教信仰不同或愛滋病，而引發的歧視，都需要很大的決心和努力，對於你們的努力，澳大利亞商工辦事處希望能給予最誠心的支持。

對抗歧視的戰役若要成功，唯一的方法便是教育懷有偏見的人。在澳洲，從八零年代早期開始，我們就已經在這場戰役中不斷努力，目前已得到一些成果，但希望消除由無知所造成的偏見，是一場持續性的戰役。

關愛之家就是因為無知受到傷害，這令人感到相當遺憾，但請您們務必要有信心，這些無知最後將被克服。

今天，對小朋友來說，讓我們將所有的要面對的困難暫時放下，希望藉由這些小禮物，帶給您們一個快樂的耶誕節。

Happy to be here to provide a small token of support for Harmony Home and a small measure of the spirit of Christmas to the children here.

The battle against discrimination be it on the basis of race, colour, religion, or in this case AIDS is one that requires great determination and effort. In that effort we at ACIO wish to offer you our heartfelt support.

The battle against discrimination is only won by education of those who are prejudiced. In Australia, we have been fighting the battle since the early 80’s. We have had some success, but it is an on-going battle to overcome the ignorance that leads to prejudice.

Harmony Home has been a victim of that ignorance. This is regrettable, but keep heart that eventually the ignorance will be overcome.

For the children, today we have to put this aside. To help, with our small donation of gifts, to bring the joy we associate with Christmas.
