   Resident Return Visas

You should consider a Resident Return Visa (RRV) if the travel validity period of your permanent visa has expired, or is about to expire. The purpose of an RRV is to allow current or former Australian permanent residents, or former Australian citizens, to re-enter Australia after travelling overseas. This visa allows such people to retain their Australian permanent resident status on their return to Australia.

The information below has been designed to assist you with preparing an RRV application that will be lodged at Australian Visa Services in Taipei.

More detailed information about RRVs can be obtained from the website of the Australian Department of Immigration and Citizenship. See: Resident Return Visas (RRV).

Application Requirements

1. Form 1085 Application for a Resident Return Visa (RRV) or replacement evidence of an RRV. Please ensure the form is completed, signed, and dated when you lodge the application.

2. Visa Application Charge: See the Fees page for current amount.

3. Applicant’s passport

4. Evidence that you meet other criteria.
