Consular services at ACIO Taipei

ACIO seeks to protect the welfare and interests of Australians travelling and residing in Taiwan.

Our services include:

Issuing passports, including emergency replacements of lost or stolen documents;
Providing advice and support in case of accident, serious illness or death, misadventure or arrest.
Contacting relatives or friends to request assistance with money or tickets;
Providing lists of local lawyers and doctors;
Providing advice during emergencies, such as civil disturbances and natural disasters;
Witnessing signatures and certifying copies;
Providing worldwide consular travel advice;
Providing voting facilities for Federal and some State elections.

We maintain a Register of Australian Citizens Abroad to facilitate contact and provide assistance in consular emergencies - for example in situations such as the earthquake on 21 September 1999. Please fill in our online registration form.
