Note: Appointments are only required where clients wish to lodge or discuss issues relating to the following visa applications:

• Migration (including partner, child or business migration);
• Citizenship (including applications for Citizenship by Descent and for Certificates of Evidence of Australian Citizenship);
• Returning Resident visas (RRVs) (including re-evidencing of Returning Resident visas); or
• Subclass 457 Long Stay Business visas that are to be processed in Taipei (sponsored by overseas businesses only).

For all other visas please visit us during office hours. No appointments are necessary.

Appointments can be made by calling (02) 8725 4290 between 9am to 12 noon and 1:30pm to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday, or by emailing immigration.taipei@dfat.gov.au. Appointments will only be scheduled between 2pm to 4pm, Monday to Friday.

Applications by mail

Visa applications (other than applications for Electronic Travel Authorities) can be lodged by mail. It is not necessary to attend the AVS office to lodge a visa application.

If you lodge your visa application by mail you should ensure that you provide payment. See: Fees.
